This vendor is smoking crack! The Extreme III 16GB card sells for $168.99 on the Sandisk site. To suggest the list is $235.95 and this vendor is providing a 41% discount is deceptive. I would never buy from this vendor for this reason alone.
I own several Sandisk cards and have always found them to be very good.

The SanDisk 16gb Extreme® III 30MB/s Edition High Performance Card is duly recommended for those of us whom appreciate the following features:
- an ability to shoot or record in extreme weather conditions;
- an extremely fast card at 30 megabytes per second (one of the fastest to date);
- generous 16G storage capacity; and
- the SanDisk brand name
N.B. We use this model for our digital SLR cameras and Edirol R09 recorder.

I made a mistake and bought a 2GB card when I got my Nikon D80. It was too small and I found myself deleting photos on site instead of at home in front of the PC just to make room on the card. The 16GB card holds ~1200 Raw images so I don’t envision this being an issue again. Bigger is better, mission accomplished.
This being a 30mb/sec write speed card I hoped I could use it to squeeze my D80 for as many FPS as it could get. I didn’t notice an appreciable difference. The D80 just isn’t that fast and a new card won’t change that. My advise would be this: If your camera isn’t shooting as fast as the specs from the manufacturer say it should, write to their tech support and ask if the 30mb/sec will help you out.

This card is a must of you have a HD video recording device. Such is the case with my Canon EOS Rebel T1i. What I noticed right away is that if you don’t use a type 6 SD card, you’ll run into issues while recording a lenghthy video. This line from Sandisk is actually recommended by Canon within the owners manual. And it works perfectly. I can record in 1080P at 20FPS or 720P at 30FPS, with no issues what so ever. I picked up this for less then what it’s currently being sold for, so you may want to wait until it becomes a better value.
Based on my experience and use, I would definitely recommend this for use with HD video cameras. It’s worked perfectly for me.

I got this card for a trip to Alaska. I wanted a high speed card so I could take sequential pictures quickly for photographing animals, and I wanted lots of memory so I didn’t have to bring multiple cards in order to get lots of hi res photos and so I didn’t have to download to the computer immediately. I used the card in my Nikon D60. This card performed perfectly (my whale shots are absolutely fabulous), and I would buy it again.
